John brings a strong academic foundation and thoughtful approach to his practice. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Iona College and then deepened that training with a Master of Arts in Philosophy from Boston College. His background in philosophy shapes his analytical thinking and problem-solving approach, allowing him to dissect arguments, identify hidden assumptions, construct rigorous logical positions, and communicate with precision under pressure.
John completed his Juris Doctor at the University of Richmond School of Law, where he also trained as a visiting student at Emory University School of Law, building early ties to the Georgia legal community.

John began at Drew Eckl & Farnham, where he spent seven years defending employers and insurers in all aspects of workers’ compensation claims — depositions, hearings, appeals, and matters before the Georgia Subsequent Injury Trust Fund. He also represented clients at numerous settlement mediations.
In 2009, John joined J. Franklin Burns, P.C., one of Atlanta’s most prominent workers’ compensation firms, where he spent over eight years honing his plaintiff-side practice.
